WERU-FM's target audience is adult listeners, ages 13 to 100, in the East Orland, ME area. The station airs locally at 89.9 FM. Over 150 volunteers participate in all aspects of station operations, both on-air and off. The station does not offer any advertising opportunities and does not accept PR materials if it isn't local news. The station is a member of both the National Federation of Community Broadcasters and Grassroots Radio Coalition. The station is financially supported by its listeners, members, the local business community, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
