According to the director, the site aims "to be a fun and informative medium for women to keep abreast of trends, entertainment, fashion, and celebrities and to allow users to participate in discussion groups to share ideas." Users can also visit a variety of women's interest magazines on the Women.com network including Cosmopolitan, Country Living, Good Housekeeping, House Beautiful, Marie Claire, Redbook, Town & Country, and Victoria. Women.com features a multitude of services including original editorial, online shopping, interactive services and tools, weather information and updates, and special interest communities for women. Content on the site is organized into the following sections: Entertainment, Sex & Dating, Celebrities, Style & Beauty, Girl Talk, and Fun & Games. The Entertainment section features celebrities, gossip, movies, music, television, and award shows. The Sex & Dating section features advice and trend columns for women on the dating circuit as well as interactive quizzes and polls. The Celebrities section features Celebrity Interviews, Hot & Sexy Stars, Celeb Specials, Film Photo Gallery, Star Style Secrets, Best & Worst Dressed, Gossip, and Groupie Award. The Style & Beauty section features links to Beauty Buzz, Clothesminded, Home Zone, and Celebrity Fashion. The Girl Talk section is a topically-driven discussion board for users to post their ideas about issues discussed on the Web site. The Fun & Games section features additional quizzes, crossword puzzles, dream dictionary, crystal ball, phone psychic, and games. In addition, Women.com publishes a free electronic newsletter that is sent to members on a daily basis. Content from Women.com can be seen on AOL.com, MSN, Netscape, CBS SportsLine, GeoCities, Lycos, The Globe, USA TODAY Online, AltaVista, and Yahoo! Women.com is now part of iVillage.com's network of sites and is now wholly-owned by iVillage, inc. Women.com is updated on a daily basis. Deadlines are ongoing. Press releases accompanied by artwork are accepted as stills that are 140" by 70". Women.com offers customized rates on advertising; therefore advertising rates vary. However, the average CPM for a run-of-site banner advertisement is $12. The iVillage network of sites receives 30,600,000 unique visitors per quarter generating nearly 385 million page views per quarter. The site does not publish an editorial calendar.
