    A&E is a network that brings viewers the "Art of Entertainment" through a combination of three genres: biography, documentary and drama. A&E offers a diverse mix of programming ranging from original movies, to relevant documentary specials and series including the Emmy Award-winning series Biography, to dramatic series and contemporary performances. In 2002, A&E, which uses the slogan "Escape the Ordinary," won six Emmy awards. Since A+E Networks launched in 1984, it has received 88 CableACE Awards. PR professionals are advised to send story ideas to the producer of the appropriate A&E program. Submissions for program ideas should be made by mail. A&E does not air talk shows, game shows, nature programs, infomercials, interview shows, cooking shows or magazine shows. A&E reaches over 92 million homes. Parent company rebranded its name from A&E Television Network to A+E Networks in May 2011.
