Bio

The Maghull and Lydiate University blog is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment. It is a part of a national network of U3A groups and provides many educational, creative and leisure opportunities for its members who share skills in a variety of ways. You don't need any qualifications to join, and nor do they give any - their focus is on enthusiasm and involvement.  The blog is written by a few different writers but the Chairman of the organisation is David Allen.  The posts on this site are dedicated to the main subjects they teach, including: art, poetry, painting, family history, computers or technology, foreign languages, dancing, taiji and photography. They hold meetings every Tuesdays over coffee for new members to go and explore what they can do. Past posts have included: 'Love Food? Love Gardening?', 'French for beginners', 'Cycling Easy Riders' and 'Philosophy'. There educational resources spread across a wide variety of subjects. PR opportunities include: educational product reviews, education resources, potential advertisement opportunities and collaborations.
