The Dallas Morning News is a daily newspaper covering regional, national and international news. Local and national technology coverage runs daily in the business section. Business and technology-related editorial consists mostly of news and trend articles analyzing the impact of technology on the economy and industry. Consumer-related topics include health and fitness, food, arts & entertainment, and book, movie and theater reviews. Deadlines for business news are daily at 5:30pm CT. WLS-TV is the ABC affiliate for the Chicago market. The station is owned by the ABC Owned Television Stations subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. WLS-TV broadcasts locally on channel 7. WFAA-TV is the ABC affiliate for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. The station is owned by TEGNA Inc. WFAA-TV broadcasts locally on channel 8. The station airs newscasts in the mornings and evenings, daily. There are some local sports and public affairs programs. In November 2004, the station reached an agreement with independent station KFWD-TV to provide some of its sales support, technical services and programming.
